EURO 2012 QUALIFIERS | LETS GO ENGLAND

With the disappointment of the World Cup now firmly behind us (just), the important matter of qualifying for the European Championships in 2012 is now upon us with England facing, on paper, winnable games against Bulgaria and Switzerland over the next few days. Having missed out on the last Euro's and with a poor World Cup campaign, who do you think is going to be Englands break-out star over the next 2 years? Who will play a pivotal part in the England team to help us qualify? Who will cement their place as a first team regular? I've picked out some of my favourites, let me know yours!

MATCHES | CALLING ALL U7 & U8 TEAMS

As part of our players’ development in football, we are looking to arrange friendlies and hold multi-team tournaments throughout the 2010/2011 Season. To allow the players to get used to playing against other teams and in different formats, we are looking to hold both 4v4 and 7v7 matches/tournaments which will give them a better understanding of team play. All matches and tournaments will be played on a non-competitive basis, in line with FA Guidelines and for the most part be pretty informal in terms of length of games, format of games etc which we can discuss either prior to, or on the day. welcome to COLCHESTER VILLA YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB
ABILITY, MOTIVATION, ATTITUDE

We are a charter standard youth football club, with age groups from Under 7's to Under 18's, boys and girls welcome! Our teams compete in the Colchester and District Youth League and we play our games at Highwoods Sports Centre. The club was formed in 1975 and has been growing ever since, with 14 teams competing last season.

We Support The FA's Respect Campaign

Respect is The FA’s programme to address unacceptable behaviour in football – on and off the pitch.

The FA has also launched a free online Respect Parent Guide to highlight examples of poor behaviour and, more importantly, how it can be improved. Colchester Villa advise all parents/carers new to the club to go through the guide.

COMMUNITY LINKS

We believe it is vital to create links with Schools and Clubs in the local area to widen the opportunities for kids in our community to learn football. Part of our initiative is sending coaches into Primary Schools to give a taster of what our sessions are like and attract new players, boys and girls of all abilities, to our club.
